Bamzonia encompasses three main elements:
- 35 interactive lessons with multi-choice quizzes
- A 3D educational game
- Controlling, measuring, and reporting on students results
The 35 lessons are aligned to the NZ Curriculum and NZQA Unit Standards. They are graded through three levels to engage students aged 8-18. Every lesson is followed by a quiz. With sufficient correct answers, students are awarded Zonian dollars to play the 3D Island regeneration game – where they rebuild the economy to create the health, wealth, and happiness, of their own Bamzonia Island community.
Teachers or facilitators have the ability to control which lessons are available for their students and have easy access to their results and progress through the lessons and games. There is very little pre-lesson preparation and no marking required.
